Digital Writing Style: The Skimm
Photo Credit: Jamie Albert (The Daily Skimm, one of their many hyperlinks) The Skimm uses plenty of hyperlinks in the news summaries. I believe that they’re successful because they are constant; Almost everything can direct you somewhere else and inform you about what it going on in the world. The word choice is nice because it’s simple yet informative and eye-catching. A potential weakness of the frequent hyperlinks could be that people might accidentally click on a link they did not intend to. This could lead them elsewhere in the web-world and people might get bothered by that.
