Chapter 4 discusses social media in public relations and how PR seeks to tap into the influence of social networks. Public relations utilize social media to execute their strategies and tactics to help the image of individuals and companies. A huge factor that plays into PR and social media is credibility. Without credibility, people are less likely to follow and believe what is posted on social media accounts. And although credibility is super important, it's equally as important to know your audience. Message targeting is another great way to reach out to an audience on social media and positively affect an organization or an individual's image.
