Digital Writing Style: Chapter 4

Image
Photo Credit: Jamie Albert (NPR's verified Twitter account) Chapter 4 discusses social media in public relations and how PR seeks to tap into the influence of social networks. Public relations utilize social media to execute their strategies and tactics to help the image of individuals and companies. A huge factor that plays into PR and social media is  credibility . Without credibility, people are less likely to follow and believe what is posted on social media accounts. Photo Credit: Jamie Albert (The Daily Skimm, one of their many hyperlinks) The Skimm uses plenty of hyperlinks in the news summaries. I believe that they’re successful because they are constant; Almost everything can direct you somewhere else and inform you about what it going on in the world. The word choice is nice because it’s simple yet informative and eye-catching. A potential weakness of the frequent hyperlinks could be that people might accidentally click on a link they did not intend to. This could lead them elsewhere in the web-world and people might get bothered by that.

For instance, Creative Commons makes it extremely easy to retrieve and credit the image you wish to use. All members were responsible for their own slides and put them together a few days before the presentation. 4. During the past couple classes, our group has discussed which roles and responsibilities we would have. We also discussed which types of videos, activity, and quotes we would like to show the class. There were many different routes we could take, so we wanted to make sure we were all on the same page. The most difficult part was finding a unique activity that the class would like to take part in, that was not Kahoot. 5. We divided Chapter 2 evenly into four sections, where we each presented a portion of the presentation. We all too...
